Dan Lawson
If not for the late Dan Lawson, we wouldn’t be here now. Dan started the Factory Five Racing efforts at the 25-Hours of Thunderhill and was the Director of the Factory Five Spec Racer Series. Few thought it possible to take a Factory Five Spec Racer and compete in the E0 class, but Dan's team came close to winning in each of their attempts. Almost everyone associated with the Prototype Development Group got involved in endurance racing and with Factory Five race cars due to Dan's leadership.
Dan was tragically killed in a racing accident at Buttonwillow Raceway in 2006. We are building this page to honor a great racer and friend.
