                                              Max Hyatt Racing Biography

I have been involved in racing my entire life. My first race weekend was 23 years ago when I was six weeks old supporting my father while he was competing in the Jim Russell Series. This past January the tables had turned and my father was the one supporting me when I climbed into the #32 PR1 Motorsports BMW M6 to take the green flag in the pouring rain for the start of The Rolex 24 at Daytona.  I had qualified 8th in front of Joey Hand and next to Patrick Long. I made a charge to the front and took the lead for six laps before turning the car over to one of my teammates. Axel hub woes struck which took us out of the hunt for a win but we were still able to finish the race 11th in GT and 20th overall.

The 24 Hours of Daytona was preceded by years of hard work and some significant accomplishments. In 2007, I finished 2nd in the Skip Barber Western Regional Race Series and won my first pro race at Burke Lakefront Airport Circuit in Cleveland as part of the F2000 Championship. In 2008, I competed in the Pacific F2000 Championship and collected 4 podiums, 5 top-fives and 1 fast lap with PR1 Motorsports. I continued my campaign in the Pacific F2000 Championship with PR1 in 2009 where I finished 2nd in the Championship with 5 wins, 8 podiums, 10 top-fives and 3 pole positions and EFormulaCarNews.com ranked me as their #1 driver..

2009 was a busy year for me competing in Pacific F2000, debuting the new BMW M6 in Grand-Am Rolex Series and also graduating Cum Laude from Santa Clara University with a double major in Economics and Psychology. I am now focused on racing in both Grand-Am and Pacific F2000 series for PR1 while I work with Club Auto Sport as their in-house pro driver for the Borelli Motor Sports Driver Development Program providing private coaching services for Club Auto Sport members and clients.
